Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi started a scholarship scheme for the first time from 2008 young artists between the age of 20-30 years. The scholarships are now given to 10 artists for one year All the 10 scholarships are named after prominent personalities from the field of art. From the year 2008-2009 all the scholarships were sponsored by various individuals and corporates. From 2013-14 out of 10 scholarships 8 are sponsored by various individuals and corporates.
Artists in the age group of 20-30 years, and residing, studying, employed in Chandigarh, Panchkula & Mohali (Tricity) are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
Scholarship available in the following disciplines:
Drawing, Graphics/Printmaking, Installation, Multimedia, Painting, Photography, Sculpture
