Introduction:

Born on April 13, 1957 at village Charnarthal Kalan (Patiala). Learnt early photography from my father Late Shri Jagmohan Lal Dhami and my elder brother Subhash Chander Dhami. My friend Vijay Ozo who I also consider my Guru taught me the essence of photography as an art which I otherwise would have learnt after a long span of experience in this field. I have always been motivated and goaded to put my best by Shri Jagmohan Chopra ji who holds a special place in my heart.

Awards:

• Awarded Panjab Lalit Kala Akademi award for 1984 in Photography section.
• 3rd Prize in photography competition on “Panjab University Campus” “Life and Environment” March 26, 1990.
• Two main awards in photography competition of Chandigarh – 2020 project of Chandigarh Administration March-April, 1995.
• Special Award in Photo Section of competition organized by Chandigarh Lalit Kala Academy in 2005.
• 2nd Prize in photography competition organized by Tourism Department, Chandigarh in 2005.
• Won prize in photography category organized by Chandigarh Lalit Kala Academy in 2006.
